Leonardo Da Vinci was born in April 15, 1452. He was an Italian painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, draftsman and a genius. During the Renaissance he made many invention and art pieces such as the Mona Lisa from 1503-1506. The Mona Lisa was said to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. Leonardo also painted about 17 other paintings and several of them were not completed, such as the Battle of Anghiari and the Leda. Also Leonardo made other unique creation by sculpting. Soon after the Duke of Milan, gave Leonardo a challenge to build the biggest statute in the world to honor the Duke's father (Francesco). Leonardo took this as a personal mission and this sculptor became one of his most famous sculptors that Leonardo Da Vinci has ever made called the Il Cavallo Dello Sforza. Itwas made in 1482. He presented the horse to the duke and his family and soon later french invaders attacked and the sculptor was damaged and never finished. Leonardo made many other art pieces through his life, and by 1519 he died on May 2.
The Last Judgment
Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475 in Italy. He was a painter, architect, poet, and sculptor, and because he was an Italian artist his painting were more toward Christ, including celling paintings David and Pieta he did in the Sistine Chapel. Also another of his paintings were the Last Judgment. The Last Judgment was painted towards the end of Michelangelo life. Pope Clement VII gave Michelangelo a task to make a painting of what he think god would do in the life after the judgement of where you go to after death. Michelangelo made the painting and became one of his most famous paintings of all time made during the renaissance because it shows the people after death being judge by God and the son of God Jesus Christ. Then he died on February 18, 1564.
The School of Athens Stanza Della Segnatura
Raphael was born in a town in Italy called Urbino. He followed in his father's footsteps learning arts,literature and social skills. Raphael was said to be more refund than other famous artists. In 1503 he got ore popular more known for his art work. He had gotten more jobs by this time. In 1503 he finished the Mond de Crucifixion. In 1508 he was invited by Pope Julius II in Rome to paint in rooms in the Vatican. The painting of the School of Athens was a tribute to the Ancient Greek Culture in 1511. Raphael was also a very good teacher. He had one of the Largest school with students eager to learn the way of how learned. Raphael was not only a painter but an architect, and a drawer. Raphael died in April 6, 1570.
